Lithology and Thickness
Marar Fm LITHOLOGY= Cycles of silty green-grey claystone, micaceous siltstones, and feldspathic-quartz sandstones. Cross-bedding and ripple marks are common, and there is usually a conglomerate at the base. Fossils of large mounds of red and purple stromatolitic alga common throughout the unit.
